Natalia, as ambassador of UNICEF for Rio de la Plata, visited the town of Toledo yesterday, in the department of Canelones, where she saw the work of the Cannelloni program first-hand. There she met with the technical team which carries out the project. Their goal is to improve the living conditions of the children who reside in localities of high social vulnerability in that department. In addition, she was part of two home visits in where she spoke with the beneficiary families, transmitting her warmth and recent experience as a mother.

When she arrived at Toledo, Natalia was received by the mayor of the town, authorities of the Intendencia de Canelones and members of the technical team of Canelones. There she explained the project and how it is being carried out; also she spoke of the places and families she was going to visit. Before starting the tour Natalia had the opportunity to talk with part of the UNICEF team to learn more about early childhood and the essential nutrients along with the indispensable care that UNICEF manages for this stage.

After the surprise of one of the mothers of the program who opened the door of her house, Natalia visited with enthusiasm and simplicity. “How much does she weigh? How often do you breast feed? “, Natalia asked with interest. Her experience as a mother helped with the meetings and generated a comfortable atmosphere of mutual exchange. “Do you sing? It is great that you sing”, she asked of other mothers with whom she spoke with. One of the mothers replied that used to sing ” la de la tortuga Manuelita ” for her newborn. Natalia recalled that she remembered that song from her infancy.

During visits, the actress gave a kit of materials prepared by the team of “Canelones Grows with You” which will be useful in the stimulation and upbringing of the young children. To explain the function of the material she took the opportunity to tell stories about her own son and offer some recommendations with confidence and naturalness.

The “Canelones Program Grows with You” has an approach of closeness and achieved significant improvements in the development, nutritional status and food security of the children as beneficiaries as well as in the child-rearing practices of the parents. From a very positive assessment of this experience, the national government will launch this year the program “Uruguay Grows with You”, as policy aimed at early childhood.

“Infancia Clandestina”, the film directed by Benjamín Avila, was selected to be part of the Quincena de Realizadores del 65° Festival in Cannes which is to be held from 17 to 27 May this year.  Starring Natalia Oreiro, Ernesto Alterio and Cristina Banegas in the of Historias Cinematográficas, Habitación 1520, Antártida Producciones and Academia de Filmes; the film that takes place during the military dictatorship in Argentina.  It shall be premiered at the Cine en Construcción in the 59th Edition of the International Film Festival in San Sebastian, and it will be released commercially in the theaters this year.

Under the slogan “It’s all musical,” Las Oreiro presented the autumn-winter 2012 at the Palacio San Miguel. The trends for this season were presented through choreography inspired by Broadway musicals. The runway was predominantly red and black, animal prints and polka dots that characterized the brand. Peep toes, sandals and buccaneers in boots danced until Natalia and Adriana closed the parade of his new collection to the tune of “Knock on wood”.

The highly anticipated Latin American series produced 100% by Moviecity, shows dark humor black in death, in some cases it may be the only solution to problems. The series broke rating records not only TV but also on the Internet, surpassing channel records.

Lynch was released first in Moviecity Play, the online service platform premium channel. This generated an audience growth of 40% over the previous weekend and 25% over the average for the past 5 weeks. It also became the best beginning of a series in terms of audience level. In addition, over 100 thousand new fans joined the Facebook page.

“The excellent results of the release of LYNCH made everyone happy as this first original series produced by Moviecity 100%, it had a great script, coupled with a talented cast and an experienced team of Latin American full production that made it possible to create success this scale (…) These results also reflect the interest that the series has sparked programmers in other markets outside Latin America, “said Edgar Spielmann, CEO and President of Moviecity.

Moviecity made a presentation of ‘Lynch’, as its new international series. The event was conducted in Puerto Madero and was graced with the presence of Natalia, Francisco de Melo, Christian Meier and Alejandro Calva. After the presentation of the trailer, the leading actors opened the press conference by discussing the experience of having participated in this new fiction.

With regard to her role as villain, Natalia was excited: ‘I was an unscrupulous character at odds with what I am. I like it because it gives me the opportunity to play with different nuances’.

Cuban, Jorge Perugorría is who embodies the Mr. Lynch, a loving man, super responsible and rigid who always tries to give an ethical approach to the cases. His wife Elizabeth, played by Natalia, is a woman deceitful and manipulative who is able to achieve wrapping everyone up as an interest in for protection. Both are owners of the funeral home the eternal rest. There they invent the death of different characters, who are trying to fake their deaths to enjoy new lives.

The series will be released on the internet on March 16, while the Sunday March 18, it can be seen on television at 20hs (8 pm) in Argentina.

On March 4 Moviecity with show the next screening one of the last projects by Natalia in 2011 called “Lynch”. It will give life to Isabel Reyes, who reappears in history in order to fake her death to escape a dark past. However members will be involved in the Lynch Funeral Home in an unsavoury business.

The series also stars Jorge Perugorria and was filmed entirely in Colombia. Natalia participated in eleven of the thirteen chapters.
